The Master Degree in Medical-pharmaceutical biotechnology provides an advanced scientific preparation on biotechnology topics oriented to medicine and pharmacology through the acquisition of integrated skills at the biochemical, biological-molecular and cellular levels. The course also provides competencies for business creation and management.

The Master degree in Medical-pharmaceutical biotechnology has the goal of providing students with an advanced knowledge in the medical-pharmaceutical biotechnology field. The course is taught in English, the native language for such a new subject, allowing our students to be able to easily interact with colleagues from all over the world.

Starting from the fundamentals acquired in the Bachelor degree, the Master course addresses the latest and advanced topics and techniques, teaching technologies such as deep sequencing, proteomics, genomics, nanotechnologies, cancer immunology, stem cells for tissue repairing, molecular pathology, developmental neurobiology, organ biochemistry and diagnostic technologies.

Career perspectives

A Master graduate (‘dottore magistrale’) in Biotechnology has high responsibility tasks in different fields such as diagnostic, bioengineering, bio-sanitary and pharmacological. He/she works in health service and in both public and private companies involved in biotechnological research and production of goods and services. His/her duties also concern the development and testing of innovative pharmacological products and of patent in the health field.
